1962 Fender Stratocaster. This guitar features a body refinish in Olympic White, Nitro Lacquer, by Fiesta Finishes™. Evidence in the neck pocket indicate that this guitar was originally Olympic White. The face of the head stock has been oversprayed long ago, and decal replaced. The finish on the entire back of the neck is all original. Frets are in excellent condition.
The electronics, including pickups, pots, and tone cap, are all original, however, the switch is a vintage 5 way.
Plastic is all original, including guard, pickup covers, switch tip, knobs etc. While the trem arm and trem cover plate are believed to be original, we cannot be absolutely certain, so please assume they are not.
The serial number is 82XXX. The neck date is SEP 62, body date is 10/62. Pickups measure, Neck to Bridge, 5.6K, 5.8K, 6.0K Ohms. The medium "C" shaped neck measures .805" at 1st fret and .993" at 12th fret. The guitar weighs 7.8 lbs.
The original case is in beautiful shape, with the leather on the ends and the handle in pristine condition. A very nice original brown Tolex case.
The guitar plays and sounds fantastic, as 1962 was certainly one of the best years for the Stratocaster.
