This Fender Stratocaster was made in the USA in 1962. It features a beautiful slab board and a July 62 neck date, so one of the last slab boards. The guitar is a killer player and it has the battle scars to prove it. The finish on the body is original with heavy wear and checking. The back of the neck has a light overspray. The finish on the front of the headstock is original, as is the decal. All three pickups and cap are original but the pots and switch have been changed. There is black shielding paint in the cavities. The pickguard and knobs are original but the back plate is changed. The guitar has been refretted with great medium tall frets with plenty of life left in them. The case is not original to the guitar but it is a period correct very rough brown Fender case that does not have a case pocket or inside partitions.
