Description

This hardtail 1963 Fender Stratocaster with its original “multi-color” Sparkle finish is really something else! This particular guitar is lovingly nicknamed the “Dune Buggy Strat” after the popular Dune Buggy manufacturer in the 60s, “Glittlerbug,” that finished their vehicles in striking, heavy metallic sparkle colors. In some of the dings, you can see that this guitar, like most Sparkle finishes, started life as a Sunburst and was then painted various sparkle colors underneath this multi-color top coat, which has aged to a nice golden hue. Even the wear on this guitar looks great; check out how cool the knobs and pickguard have aged! The overall light weight of the guitar and its slick, played-in neck make this an absolute joy to play, and it sounds just as great as it looks!

Overall Condition: 7.5, wear and patina to the neck, some light wear to the body
