Description

January 1964 Fender Stratocaster

Neck and Body: Very old neck and body refin. Has aged beautifully. Neck was refinished by Fender (fender added decal of the era when it was refinished, 1966) Body shows a bit of over sanding on some contours, nothing major, can't even tell in some pics. Pro refin as well. Body shows signs of age upon closer look, dings, scratches, all shown in pics.

Electronics: Pots read to late 63 neck reads early 64.
Original cap, switch (a bit loose but still works) Middle pickup is original to guitar, other two look period correct but are not original to this guitar by looking at solderings.

Hardware: Tuners replaced, extra string tree added. Trem block only replaced, all other parts are marked as original. Pick guard had extra holes in it (was originally tortoise shell as well, a decent copy is now installed) Original back plate included!

Playing: Frets are in very good shape and guitar plays great. Three way feels a bit loose, but we'll inspect it int he next few days.

Case: Shown in last pic, this is NOT original to the guitar, it was bought in 1960 and we do not know what it is. However its the second time we see it, first was a 1959 strat.
