Refinished 1964 Stratocaster in Fiesta Red with almost a Desert Sand looking undercoat. The neck date is 2 MAY 64 B. The neck has been refretted and the frets have light to moderate wear. An extra string tree has been added to the headstock and holes are filled from Schaller style tuners. Double Line Klusons are era correct for this instrument. The decal of the face of the headstock appears original. Pickup covers are non-original, pots are replaced as well as the 5-way switch. The neck pick up is a gray bottom with yellow ink, August 1964 stamp. Bridge pickup is a black bottom with Aug 14, 1964 yellow ink stamp. The middle pickup is an unmarked black bottom with correct leads. Bridge and neck pickups have replaced leads and some wires are spliced. The pickguard and shield plate are original. Claw tremolo and back are original. Dings, scratches and scuffs are present throughout. Heavy finish wear. Back plate has spots of heat damage, nothing severe.
New brown tolex case included.
