1964 was a big transitional year for Stratocasters but then so was 65 and 66 so there's a whole lot of variation. So, what I've got here is a mid 64. Still has the clay dot markers, still has the green guard but has the transitional logo.
I think 64's are among the best of the 60's Strats and this one delivers. It's in nice shape too. There are some amateur magic marker touchups on the lower edges but they are small and not really of much consequence. Electronics are original and unmolested and the finish is bright and vibrant. Still has the three way and the ash tray. The only non original part is the case which looks like maybe a 66-67.
