An incredible looking pre-CBS Stratocaster with the perfect amount of authentic vintage wear for an amazing broken-in feel! This guitar was originally purchased in 1964, sent back to Fender in 1965 by the original owner for a minor neck finish flaw and the Fender factory re-sprayed the neck and applied their new at the time, transitional “block logo” headstock decal. The guitar is otherwise completely original and retains all the major pre-CBS features including a small headstock, mint nitrate pickguard, and clay dot inlays. The neck sports a mid-’60s medium-C profile with excellent playability and pickups are well balanced and clear, delivering the signature Stratocaster percussive quality and chime. A fantastic vintage Strat with a stellar feel and tone! Includes original blonde hardshell case.
