Description

This transitional era 1965 Fender Stratocaster is completely original in factory Black! This particular guitar was completed at the end of 1964 and most likely didn’t ship until after CBS took ownership of the company in January 1965. Since every date on the pickups, pots, body, and neck all point to 1964, this is essentially a pre-CBS-made Custom Color Stratocaster! The previous owner clearly took great care of this piece while still playing it, as the back of the neck has been played in for a comfortable feel. All three pickups have their own distinct sound and can put out an array of tones. The contrast of the black finish with the green guard is an epic combination you don’t often see!

Overall Condition: 8.5, light playwear and patina throughout the body
