Description

1965 Fender Stratocaster, all original condition, Abigail Ybarra wound pickups!

This beautiful transition Stratocaster is in excellent all original condition. The only flaw is that it was "Schaller-ized" sometime in the past. This means 6 tiny tuner screw holes on the back of the headstock, and one tiny screw hole on the face for an extra string tree. Both have been professionally filled, and the original Kluson tuners have been re-installed. Also, a vintage 5 way switch is installed.

The guitar features all original pickups with neck and bridge pickups wound and signed by the famous Abigail Ybarra, and this is truly a wonderful sounding Strat.

The guitar features some early transition characteristics along with some later. Early features include L Series neck plate, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, and Mint Green pick guard. Later features include pearl dots, and transition decal.

The serial number is L62XXX, the neck date is MAR 65, pots are coded 304 6518. Neck measures .772" at 1st fret and .967" at 12th fret making this a medium "C" shaped neck. Original pickups measure, neck to bridge, 5.3K, 5.6K, 6.5K Ohms. Weight is 7 lbs. 12 oz. with original trem bar in place.

The guitar ships in its original, black Tolex Fender case.
