Welcome to JTKM STUDIO.
Here we have a stunning, near new condition and stunning very early 1965 (full 1964 appointments) Fender Stratocaster complete with original tremolo arm, bridge cover and black Tolex case. You’ll likely never find another one in this condition again, especially here in the UK.
By now I’m sure most of you know that JTKM STUDIO seek out the cleanest or most rare vintage guitars we can get our hands on and this one is no exception. This stunning Stratocaster is complete with full 1964 appointments, that is, green guard, clay dot and position markers and Bob Perine designed ‘transitional’ headstock logo.
As always, we will let the photos do most of the talking in terms of condition. Do take a moment to check out that stunning sunburst which is just WOW!
This collector grade Fender Stratocaster has a January 1965 neck date with a B nut profile. The pots are CTS branded pots, all dating to the 5th week of 1965. The super smooth sounding grey bobbin pickups date to 30th of March 1965 on the neck pickup. I cannot quite decipher the text written on the other two pickups but they are inked. All solder joints are completely undisturbed throughout. The only alteration, and I can assure you that you would not know this unless I told you is that the original 3-way switch has been replaced by an exactly the same, period correct 3-way switch. It is exactly same switch as the original. The original switch, which is broken, is included in the case. The original black tolex case is exceptionally clean and really makes the Stratocaster pop!
This is one of those vintage guitars where you just plug it into your vintage Fender amp and off you go into never-never land for a good few hours! It has everything you want in terms of sound, tone, playability, feel and its got the looks that kill too!
All internal and blacklight photos are available.
There you have it, another pristine, collector grade vintage Fender guitar at JTKM STUDIO.
