Description

1965 Fender Stratocaster. This guitar features an older body refinish in vintage Sunburst. This is not a Fiesta Finishes™ job. The neck finish and decal are original. The neck has had a nicely executed pro refret, and the guitar plays great.

This Strat has a few minor issues that should be listed:

• Original pick guard has shrunk, causing a crack near the neck pickup, and also at the horn.

• One of the tone knobs is slightly damaged on the underside, but functions just fine.

  • There is an extra hole in the guard near the neck pickup, presumably to stabilize the guard near the crack. The hole has been filled and is barely visible.

  • Original ceramic tone cap is cracked on exterior, but seems to be working fine, so we left it alone.

• It looks as though the finish at the black edges of the guitar may have been touched up, the work is of professional quality and barely visible.

Otherwise, this is a great '65 Strat, with original pickups and switch, replaced pots (CTS Custom Shop quality). The bridge, saddles, tuners, guard, jack plate, strap buttons, etc. are original.

Serial number is 107XXX. Neck measures .842" at 1st fret and .860" at 12th fret. The guitar weighs 7 lb. 11 oz. Pickups measure, Neck to Bridge 6.3K, 6.0K, 6.1K Ohms.

This is a really nice mid 60's Strat at a great price. Sounds and plays amazing. Ships in a slightly later vintage Fender black Tolex case.

Satisfaction guaranteed. Keep the guitar for 48 hours, and if not fully satisfied, return for a full refund minus shipping charge.
