Description

Summary: This Strat hails from the golden age of American guitar design and is a stunning, toneful example of one of the most iconic models ever made.

Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body. Three-tone sunburst finish.

Neck: Maple D shaped neck. Rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot inlays. Smaller, early-style headstock. Refretted with jumbo frets.
Electronics/Hardware: Three single-coil pickups with _ pole pieces. One volume and two tone knobs. _-way selector switch. Chrome hardware. String-through tremolo bridge with Patent Pending saddles. Kluson Deluxe tuners. “Transition” Logo. Four bolt F-stamped neck plate. White multi-ply pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar has all the gorgeous character of a well-played vintage workhorse. The finish has worn to a soft matte patina and shows its history in its checking, dings, dents and worn spots. The headstock labels have worn, but are still legible. The pickguard has a small crack at the adjustment screw for the neck pickup. The back cover plate has a couple small cracks from screw tension, three of the four corners have chipped and the string holes are slightly chewed. The hardware shows patina consistent with the age. This is not a minty vault-filler, but anyone who digs the vibe of an authentic, lived-in piece of history will fall in love with the look of this killer guitar.

Playability: This guitar plays beautifully. Action is set low and there is no buzz or fretting out. The worn neck is super smooth and comfortable. The newer jumbo frets are big and full. The sound from the original pickups is everything a Strat-fan dreams of, running the gamut from smooth and glassy to bright and snappy.

Weight: 7 lbs, 11 oz.

Case: Seventies Fender hard shell.
