Description

Here's a 1967/68 Stratocaster in 3-Tone Sunburst finish. RARE maple cap example! Everything on the guitar is original. No breaks, cracks, repairs. We got super lucky with this one! After CBS bought Fender (in 1965), they were rather inconsistent in how they used up old parts. This is an amazing 'Hendrix Era' transitional Strat, with a 13JAN68B neck date, '66 pots, an ultra rare maple cap neck, and original black bobbin pickups! The neck has a full feeling C profile and feels great in your hands. The original frets still have life as well. The action is consistently low down the fretboard. The pickups sound out of this world good! Beautiful range between all three, while being wonderfully balanced. The guitar sounds incredible in every position. And the patina couldn't look any better! So much vibe. Very special piece. OHSC!
