1970 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst, Near Mint
It's not every day that a collector's grade, real-deal 1970 Stratocaster walks in your door! The sunburst is killer. The pickups positively sing. It's early enough that it has a 4-bolt neck and is free of the dreaded "bullet." Plus it has stamped steel saddles and staggered pole pickups. All these little details are important ingredients in the tonal cocktail of Leo's most famous creation. And it's ours!!!! For now. The walls of our shop are great place to visit, but this Strat deserves a home.
Not only is it the cleanest we've seen but it's also a spectacular guitar. At 7.3 lbs it's also as light as you're ever going to find and really resonates and responds to your every strum. The original frets are in great shape so it is a joy to play. The neck measures 1-19/32" wide at the nut and tapers from .837" thick at the 1st fret to .931" at the 12th. Really nice fingerboard too.
It is very clean but there is some paint wear, such as a the light scratches and small marks that any guitar will accumulate just from being handled over the years. Please contact us for more photos.
