Description

Summary: One of Fenders most iconic finishes, and easily the finish to receive the most criticism and equal defense of its unique beauty since its accidental conception the late 60’s. This particular example is a “hard-tail” and it was well cared for over the past 40 years. Made in the USA, this Stratocaster simply looks, plays and sounds fantastic. It will ship with a non original hard-shell case.

Body: Solid alder body with the Antigua finish.

Neck: It has a 3 bolt, one piece maple neck and fretboard with original bone nut, 21 frets, 25.5” scale length and 1 9/16” nut width. It has the bullet style truss rod adjustment at the larger style Fender headstock, F style tuning keys and neck tilt screw.

Pickups/Hardware: It has 3 original single coil pickups, 5 way switch, 1 volume, 2 tones, non tremolo bridge with 6 individual saddles, black plastic knobs, switch tip and pickup covers.

Cosmetics: From a distance this instrument looks immaculate, but once you get up closer you can notice some light dings & scuffs in the body. There is normal scratching on the pickguard & a few dings around the edges of the headstock. The body has a few places near the neck pocket where the finish is chipped off a little bit. Overall this guitar is in great condition but does show normal signs of wear consistent with an instrument from the late 1970's.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: n/a

Weight: 10 lbs, 7 oz.

Case: This vintage Fender comes with a non-original Fender Molded hardshell case & we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
