Plays and sounds great! Fantastic vintage strat. This has an S9 serial, which would normally put it to 1979, but the pickups have plastic bobbins, which did not being until 1980. This is certainly one of the last strats made in this 70s style!

While on first look I thought this was a factory finish, I would have to assume this one is a refin based on the way the finish is worn on the back, and the lack of Candy Apple Red finishes on Stratocasters in this time frame. Guitar otherwise retains most of its originality, except the plastics (pickguard, pickup covers, knobs, and pickup selector cap) have been switched from black to white, but otherwise the guitar is all original.

Shows a good bit of cosmetic wear, but everything works great. There is a good bit of finish missing on the back as pictured, the guitar came to me this way, but I would imagine there was a sticker on the back, that was removed, and brought the finish with it. Otherwise just normal wear for a vintage instrument such as dings, scratches, dents, and other wear. Frets are used and show expected wear, but still feel and play great!

Includes the original hard case as pictured, has some discoloring inside as pictured, and other general wear.
