This is not something you see everyday, nor will you see often. A 1957 neck and pickguard attached to a 1964 body.
Comes with a mid '60s Fender hardcase.
The neck and pickguard from a 1957 Stratocaster, appear to be original to each other. The neck has had a couple changed parts, newer vintage-style string tree and a newer bone nut were installed. Everything attached to the pickguard is all original. The body, from what we can tell, is from 1964, give or take a year, by the letter "B" that's written on the treble side of the body between the middle and neck pickup routes. The ground wire from the tremolo spring claw was replaced with a non-cloth wire. Also the strap buttons were swapped for Dunlop strap lock buttons, and tremolo arm cap were replaced.
From what we've gathered, the lead and the ground that connected the 57 pickguard to its original output jack were cut, and the same procedure appears to have been done with the 64 body and its original pickguard. Then the 57 pickguard lead and ground were spliced with the 64 body's lead and ground coming from the output jack.
It has the original frets, which had been leveled and crowned.
Pickups read, from bridge to neck; 6.83k, 6.90k, 7.08k.
Has a 1 11/16" nut width, standard 25 1/2" scale length, and weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces.
