Even sixty years later, the best Stratocasters are still made by Fender. Their Custom Shop does a great job of pleasing even the most discriminating players. Most of them built these days tend to be relics so it's nice to see a clean "NOS" one come into our shop. These are made with only the very lightest of aging if any at all. This one has only some very faint marks in the paint and a little yellowing of the clear coats so it's not a super bright, right-out-of-the-factory kind of red. It's a little muted and deeper than the typical Candy Apple Red. It has been babied in it's short life and still has the protective plastic on the pickguard. It's all vintage in spec expect for a modern 9.5" fingerboard radius. Thin nitro lacquer finish, 21 fret neck, 3-way selector switch, six-screw stamped steel bridge, Kluson styled tuners, white 3-ply guard, all pickups read around 5.7k and everything else period correct for a 1960 Strat. The neck is a typical Fender medium C, 1-21/32" wide at the nut, tapering from .80" thick at the 1st fret to .93" at the 12th. The guitar weighs 7.8 lbs. All pictured accessories are included. It'd be hard to do better than this beauty.
