1979 Stratocaster Antigua
Antigua color was originally used for the Fender Coronado, which was sold from around 1968 to 1972. This color was used for the regular line of Stratocasters and Telecasters for a short period of time from around 1977 to around 1981, and the original Andigua color model. This 1979 STRATOCASTER ANTIGUA is an austere piece with overall coloring that has been burnished and deepened. It is made of heavy ash and has a strong and well-defined low mid. The rear pickup is equipped with an original gray bobbin for a crisp and clear high tone. The frets and nut have been replaced, and the performance is excellent. The color of the pickup is a classic "what's with the color? This vintage Telecaster is a conversation starter just by holding it.
