1959 Fender® Stratocaster® w/ rare 9 screw green guard Sunburst w/ 9 screw guard, Fair, Original Hard
this is a very rare guitar. one of almost none made with a 9 screw green pickguard. most '59 slab boards have an 11 screw green guard. many (that's right...many) have a single layer 10 screw guard. i've only ever heard of three with a 9 screw green guard, and this is the ONLY one i've actually seen. it's hammered, but sounds great and is 100% original w/ original case and hangtag. i used to own THE july 1958 guitar that's on the hangtag...that was a cool guitar - 8 screw green guard, walnut teardrop, skunk stripe, slab board, and white kitchen top type inlays. i've only ever heard of ONE 8 screw green guard slab board the the non-conventional screw placement...and i'm going to list that one in a minute. party! i just sold the hammered but 100% original (except for the trem arm) blonde one. original trem and bridge covers are included. btw: only 9 screw holes under the guard. cool.
