Description

A personalized 1953 Fender Telecaster in Blond is always enough to grab our attention! This Blackguard had been fitted with a few personal touches from who we assume to be the original owner, Larry Lee! On the bass horn, you will find two spots where mailbox stickers with the initials “L L”  were affixed, and at one point the pickguard was decorated with paint. While we do not know for sure who the original owner of this guitar was, we are aware of the guitarist Larry Lee, who was well known for his work playing with Jimi Hendrix and Al Green. This is a reasonably common name though, so it would not surprise us if another Larry Lee in this world owned a ’53 Tele. It’s a fantastic guitar either way! The old paint has since either been removed or worn away on the pickup, and it appears as if the neck was professionally heat pressed at some point, and as a result some of the fretboard finish has been affected. The “L L” initials are still present on the case though!

Overall Condition: 7, wear throughout, specifically by buckle rash
