Description

Stashed away in a collection for the last 20 years, one of the rarest Teles ever. 1960 Fender Telecaster "Red" Lefty. Yes, the one on page 38 of "The Fender Telecaster" book. ( but the color is much brighter in person ) Light weight, 100% original in near mint condition with the original strap, bridge cover, immaculate original early Brown case and a copy of the book. Strong 9.5 condition. Pots: 1376019. No neck date but there is a red dot of paint matching the body. Serial # 51096 on the bottom of the neck plate, typical for late '59 to mid '60. A few tiny spots of edge wear, some light finish checking, no fret wear, no lacquer worn off the back of the neck, perfect hardware. Notice the single ply white guard, sooo cool! I had the '61 Sherwood Green Tele 20 years ago, the '60 Olympic White Tele 10 years ago and now the '60 Ducco Red Tele. Looks like I'm averaging one every 10 years. You think maybe custom color slab board Teles are hard to come by??? Dealer wholesale price is $120K. What's the best you can do for me brother? price is $120K. Aunt Jane wants to buy it to play in church on Sunday price is $120K. "GREAT GUITAR"

The web is 24/7. Ain't it wonderful. Call for an appointment and you can come to my studio and check out gear.

Personal checks are fine. Out of state checks clear in a day or two now. Wire transfers work well. Sorry, no credit cards.

USPS & UPS mainly. In 45 years I've had one UPS claim and they paid it. I don't like Fed Ex but I'll use them if you want. Don't expect them to pay a claim on a vintage guitar. Proper packing prevents problems. You got to double box expensive guitars and amps.

I don't buy anything I wouldn't want for myself. It's very rare I'll buy something that's not 100% original, but if it has changed tuner buttons or been refretted, I'll tell you. Detailed, accurate descriptions only. Please call for an in hand description. I go to a lot of trouble to pack this stuff right for shipping so it will arrive undamaged. I sell only really nice amps, fully serviced, no return on amps.
