Description

A rare find, this all-original Fender Telecaster is infamously referred to as a “smuggler” Telecaster due to its cavities under the guard. This experimental design was Fender’s attempt to lighten the weight of a small batch of ash body Telecasters. The term smuggler was adopted after the spaces under the pickguard were used to carry rather taboo items. This example is very clean and original except for the frets. The finish is Blond, and it showcases a 3-ply white pickguard. Buy it to play, or to hide your “special” stash…of picks duh…what did you think we were talking about?

Overall Condition: 7.5, forearm wear and checking
