This one is a personal item belonging to me - Chuck, the Mahar in Mahar's Guitars. If you're interested in a direct deal on the guitar please call me at 530-570-1525.

This Tele is from the last days before Fender changed from finishes of nitrocellulose lacquer to thick polyester finishes. The difference is significant. You can't expect to get the worn-in, vintage feel of the earlier guitars when the neck is wrapped in poly.

The neck on this Tele is perfectly work, and the fretboard shows wear like a 50's guitar.

When I purchased the instrument, it was pretty filthy. I never name guitars, but if I named this one I'd call it Goodyear because it looked like someone who changed tires for a living played it every day after work without washing his hands. Despite being so grimy, it really cleaned up well with just a slightly damp rag. Now it is one of the better looking Teles out there.

While the guitar was played a lot, and evenly up and down the neck, it was obviously well cared for. There are no major dings or even significant wear - just honest playwear.

The instrument is all original with the exception of the frets, which were professionally replaced years ago. They have been leveled but still have a lot of life left in them.

Included is the original case and bridge cover. The case has one broken latch but is otherwise in excellent condition.
