DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a fabulous and fairly clean 1968 Fender Telecaster in its original blonde finish over a nicely grained ash body. Features of this instrument include a maple cap neck with no skunk stripe, F serial plate, F tuners, black headstock decal and white pickguard. The neck is stamped 3OCT68B, pots are coded 304-6612 dating to the 12th week of 1966. It is widely known Fender purchased a large amount of pots in 1966 which they used into the 1970s as is the case with this guitar. Internally and externally this guitar is entirely original with the exception of the pickup leads being clipped and re-soldered / shrunk wrapped at some point. Overall this Tele is in very good to excellent condition less some scattered finish checking / dings / dents, spots of finish discoloration and some fret wear. The original frets are in good shape but are on the low side. Pro setup in house and comes complete with its original hard case (some stickers) and bridge cover.
