Nice Telecaster here. Looks great. Plays great. Not the lightest one, but it's not the heaviest either. Tuners were replaced, but have been restored to correct '60s "F" tuners. Oversize ferrules on the front, no visible extra holes on the back. Small amount of fretwear, mostly on the first 3 frets. Frets are about 95% intact, maybe 98%, depending on how sensitive your micrometer is. Has some shallow divots worn into the rosewood board, once again, mostly within the first 3 frets. None of this affects playability. Has some shrinkage to the pickguard that resulted in a small crack around one of the screw holes. Neck is straight, truss rod works, everything works as it should. Bridge pickup is bright and twangy. Typical of this era. Finish is in very good condition. A few dings, a couple through the paint, checking on the front and back of the headstock. Some belt buckle marks. Full finish on the back of the neck, not worn through. Poly? Nitro? Not sure. Probably Poly, but it's not super thick. Looks very very nice. Only question we have is the wiring harness. 250K pots and modern wiring. That may not be stock, but the pots appear to be from the right era, as is the switch and capacitor. '68 was a very transitional year for Fender, hard to be sure of anything they did at that time. CBS was busy trying to sell Coronados. And designing solid state amps. Anything's possible. What is certain though, thjis is a nice Tele. With its original hardshell case. Give us a call...
