Summary: In early 1951, Fender renamed its only production solid-body guitar the Telecaster, replacing the short-lived Broadcaster moniker used in late 1950. The Telecaster quickly became the guitar of its age, propelling the status of the solid-body electric guitar from novelty to the defining instrument of popular music. This particular Fender Telecaster has the original blonde finish with wonderful checking – this baby has aged like a fine bottle of wine! The photos really can’t do it justice – once you have this light-weight guitar in your hands you will not want to put it down.

Body: Solid body Telecaster with a naturally aged blonde finish & a single ply white pickguard.

Neck: Maple neck with a beautiful rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, original Fender tuning keys, 21 frets, 25.5” scale length, 1 5/8” nut width, original Fender Logo.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 single coil pickups, one volume knob, one tone knob, chrome hardware, original Fender tuning keys, dot inlays, single ply white pickguard.

Cosmetics: This instrument has lots of small dings & nicks & the finish is checking all over the place but this is the kind of checking that people dream about – it is really beautiful. The rosewood fingerboard is also really great looking & great feeling. The frets show some wear but they still have life left in them.

Playability: This vintage Fender Telecaster plays great up & down the fingerboard. The instrument was recently set up with a new set of 10’s and we made sure the truss rod was fully functional. The action is low and the instrument feels really wonderful.

Modifications: The original pickups have been rewound by Lindsey Fralin!

Weight: 7 lbs, 8 oz.

Case: This old Fender comes with the original hard-shell case, the ash tray bridge cover & the original Fender owners-manual!
