Description

Summary: This is a 1988 Fender USA Telecaster that was built by the master builder John Cruz during his first 2 years at Fender – the John Cruz name is stamped on the neck & the “C” is on the neck pocket of the body. The original pickguard has been changed but the rest of this beauty is in great shape & this Tele plays and sounds great.
Body: Solid body single cutaway electric Telecaster guitar.

Neck: Maple neck with dot inlays, 22 frets, 25.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, original Fender tuning keys, skunk stripe down the back of the neck.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 single coil pickups, one volume knob, one tone knob, 3-way switch, chrome hardware, original Fender tuning keys, black dot inlays, non-original pickguard

Cosmetics: This guitar has a few signs of wear with some pick scratching & a few small dings & nicks on the body – there is a little bit of buckle rash & finish swirling, some signs of checking in the finish – all normal wear & tear with a guitar from the late 1980’s.

Playability: This Fender has been recently set up with a set of 10’s and it plays great – the action is low & the instrument plays great up & down the fingerboard. The truss rod is fully working & the frets are in good shape with a lot of life left in them.

Modifications: The original pickguard has been replaced

Weight: 8 lbs, 3 oz.

Case: This Fender guitar will ship in a generic Roadrunner square hard shell case
