Summary: The first era of Fender Japan began in 1982, when domestic market Japanese Fenders started rolling out of factories. While Fender Japan is popularly known for some of their more extravagant aesthetics, the bulk of domestic Japanese production was focused on reissues of historic American Fender models. This telecaster is a reissue of one of those models, a TN-70 thinline.

Body: Thinline, semi-hollow, gloss Walnut color finish.

Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.650” nut width, 21 frets, black dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two Telecaster single coil pickups, master volume/master tone controls/3-way pickup selector, 3-saddle bridge, Gotoh tuning keys, 2-ply white pearl pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has a small dent and scratch near the high “E” string ferrule on the back of the guitar. The back of the neck is clean and smooth, and the frets are in great shape.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: One of the saddle intonation screws has been changed.

Weight: 6.4 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in a hard-shell case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
