The Fender Telecaster Bass was officially released in 1968, but this example was made in 1967. It is an extremely early pre-production example. It has numerous unusual features: maple cap neck AND skunk stripe, early 60's reverse wind nickel tuners, pickguard with only 7 screw holes, and a very rare first version logo. The neck and pickup are both dated 1967, and the pots date to 1966. The bass shows light play wear but no structural damage and it remains in very nice original condition. It has been pro-setup and is one of the best playing and sounding Telecaster basses we have ever encountered. It has been pro-setup and needs nothing. It comes with the original case.
