1966 Fender® Telecaster® Custom Sunburst, Very Good, Original Hard, $13,000.00

These are pretty tough to come by. They were never sold in large numbers so when they come up for sale, it's an event. This is a 66 so it still has Kluson tuners and not those horrible "F" tuners. The only issue is that it appears to have had Schaller tuners at some point but the holes are filled and the originals are back on. There is a fair amount of player wear but nothing glaring. Guitar has been re-fretted and the fingerboard radius has been flattened to perhaps a 9" radius. The three way has been replaced. Great player with that great Tele tone. The bindings on these tend to crack and flake and fall apart but these are almost perfect-two little vertical cracks. Previous owner scratched the name of his band under the neck plate-not visible-take off a buck. Original hard case in great shape.
