Description

These beautiful sunburst slab board Made in Japan Telecaster Customs are fantastic guitars, and are becoming collector’s items in their own right. The penciled in 1988 neck date, and accurate bridge, show the care with which these were built. Original Frets are in great shape with very little wear. 7.41 pounds.

Cosmetically, there are three dings to the back of the neck. The back shows no buckle wear or worming, but does show shirt button light scratches and a couple of dings. The front shows one ding below the tone knob, probably from an input cord, and some light wear. This guitar was never gigged or played out, but it has been used over its 30-year life. Bridge cover is not present.

I purchased this guitar in the 1990’s, and sold it to a local buyer. I recently purchased it back from that same buyer, and have it for sale again. It’s a fine guitar that is hard to let go of.

When I owned this guitar originally , I put a set of real 1965 Telecaster pickups in it, then took them out when I sold it. So, the guitar has had the pickups “out and in” as they say. I also upgraded the 3-way switch to an authentic 1960’s Fender Switchcraft 3 way switch , which is still present as a bonus. Prior owner added a grounding wire to each pickup, and some tape to wrap the pickup wires together. My guess is he had an issue with the wiring in his house or his amp, because there are no grounding issues with the instrument.

Original 1980’s plastic molded case is included. Plastic outer-covering shows some shifting from age, & the latches on these are not the most user friendly, but it is the original case! More pics of wiring and rest of instrument available on request.
