Description

In an effort to compete with Gibson’s humbucker models like the Les Paul, Fender hired Seth Lover to design a humbucker pickup to be used in the Telecaster Deluxe which was introduced in 1972. While the body shape was similar to previous Telecasters, the Deluxe was given a belly cut contour similar to Stratocaster. Then to top it off, Fender gave the Tele Deluxe a Stratocaster style headstock and a Micro Tilt adjustable neck.

Here we have an all original 1975 Fender Telecaster Deluxe in natural finish with a black pickguard. Two hard rockin’ Wide Range humbuckers, a Strat style headstock, and the aforementioned contoured body set this Tele apart from traditional Telecasters and give it a look and feel all its own.

The condition of this guitar is excellent to near-mint with a pristine top and hardly a nick or scratch to be found anywhere on the guitar. The hardware shines like new with just the lightest bit of pick scuffing on the pickup covers. Two witch hat volume and tone knobs and a three way pickup selector switch replace the standard Telecaster control setup.

This guitar comes with the original hardshell case, bridge cover, and hang tags. A real collector’s (and player’s) dream.
