1957 Fender Esquire. This lovely guitar features a body refinish in blonde translucent nitrocellulose lacquer by Fiesta Finishes™. The neck appears to have an overspray on the back and fingerboard, however, the finish on the head stock face and the decal are original.

Otherwise, the guitar is all original including screws, right down to the rare #5 screws for the control plate. All hardware, bridge, saddles, tuners, control plate, knobs, jack plate, strap buttons, etc. are original.

The white guard is original, pickup is original, pots are original, all electronics and wires are original. This guitar has always been an Esquire and never has had a Telecaster conversion. There are no holes drilled for a neck pickup!

We love guitars like this one. Totally unmolested other than the finish, and hence affordable, but a great vintage guitar!

The body is a one piece, very tight grained, Swamp Ash, which is quite rare. The weight of the guitar is 7.7 lbs., making it a mid weight "Tele", but with incredible sustain and tone. The serial number is 17XXX. The original pickup measures 6.1K Ohm. The neck is a nice, big, "V" as expected from this period, measuring .912" at 1st fret and 1.01" at 12th fret.

One minor defect is that one neck screw was stripped out, and has been professionally doweled and redrilled. It's a non issue but must be mentioned in a vintage guitar description.

The guitar ships in it's original red plush lined tweed case! Many of these cases have not survived, but this one is in quite nice condition, rounding out this great package in a V Neck Esquire.

Satisfaction guaranteed. Keep the guitar for 48 hours, and if not fully satisfied, return for a full refund minus the shipping charge.
