Description

Offered is this very cool vintage Telecaster Thinline built in 1973. This guitar is serial number 396835 and except for touched up solder joints, is completely original.

This version of the Thinline was introduced in 1972 and was based on the Telecaster Deluxe of that era. It has a semi-hollow ash body and a one piece maple neck with the walnut 'skunk' stripe. It has a three bolt neck plate, a six saddle bridge and Fender wide range humbucking pickups. This one has a C-shaped neck with depth measurements of .843" at the first fret increasing to .933" at the twelfth fret. It weighs 7-3/4 pounds and is nicely balanced strapped on.

This guitar was professionally owned and played for many years but was well cared for. It remains in terrific condition except for a marble-sized dimple in the top just below the f-hole (see the included close up photo). This flaw is purely cosmetic and does nothing to impair the performance of this 49 year old vintage Telecaster. It looks, sounds and plays great. Please check out the brief sound sample included below. It comes in its original G&G case which also remains in very good condition.

If you are looking for an affordable Telecaster that you can play every night, this cool Thinline warrants your serious consideration. A great vintage Tele at a great price. Make it yours!
