The Strat holds a special place in Fender history. Designed in part by the legendary Dan Armstrong of Ampeg fame, The Strat is Fender’s return to many of the pre-CBS features that players demanded as well as new upgrades. Classic features include traditional truss rod placement, 4 bolt neck, smaller headstock. New features for The Strat include a hotter X-1 bridge pickup, 22 carat gold plated brass hardware, and a 2-way switch where the second tone knob would be. When you turn the switch, the pickup wiring changes to allow 4 additional tonal options including, neck and bridge, and all 3 pickups on.

This guitar is in good condition showing heavy finish checking and dings throughout, moderate fret wear, and a small repaired chip under the replaced nut. The body has been refinished years ago and was originally white, the headstock has the original finish and has ambered heavily over the years, matching the natural body nicely. Original electronics with shielding paint added in the cavity. No case with this one.
