Used 2001 Fender Tom DeLonge Stratocaster serial number MZ1156090. This guitar is in excellent condition. Neck and frets are fine, cosmetically really clean.
The Tom DeLonge strat features a single Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader humbucker pickup, (either white or black depending on the color of the guitar), a single volume control, ‘70s large headstock and a hardtail bridge. Originally introduced as a Custom Shop model, the regular production instruments are made in Mexico. It appears that the only noticeable difference is the switch from Sperzel locking tuners to the Kluson-style tuners made by Ping.
This is a cool design whether you are a Blink-182 fan or not, it’s got the “dam the extra pickups, we don’t need no stinking tone controls” vibe seen on another famous “strat” style frankenstein axe.
