DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a fabulous famed 1960 Fender Tweed Bassman, circuit 5F6-A re-covered in a “black dress”. As shown, this one was re-covered at some point with the grill also replaced. That said, otherwise, this example is stock with the exception of the power / standby switches, a few knobs, and the handle. That’s right, no funky mods, no weirdo speakers, no holes in the chassis, nothing. The tube chart is stamped JH dating to August 1960. Original transformers / circuit, original Jensen P10Qs dates are stamped 220035 x 3 and 220024, dating to the 35th and 24th week of 1960. Recently gone through by our vintage amp tech and sounds great. Snag this one and re-tweed it or keep it as is and enjoy it for what it is.
