The Vintage Series, the most famous series of Fender basses, faithfully reproduces the qualities of the original 1962 Jazz Bass. 1997 model has some signs of use, but it has developed its own vintage taste with age. The staff knob combines volume and tone into one knob, giving it a sweeter tone than the 3-knob models. It is slightly heavier and features a thick low mid.
