Retrofret Stock # 8633. Fender Vibro-Champ Model Tube Amplifier (1966), made in Fullerton, California, serial # A-09300, black tolex covering finish. Height is 14 in. (35.6 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) width, and 7 in. (17.8 cm.) deep. This amp is a bit of a hybrid, a 1966 chassis (the power transformer date is late '65) mounted inside an early '70s cabinet. The differences are actually pretty minor -- the later style tube chart is the only major giveaway. Overall this presents as a nice clean '60s Vibro-Champ, showing some light wear externally and internally still mostly original. The most notable update is a modern repro Jensen speaker; there is also a 3-prong grounded cord and a new power switch. The amp has also just had an expert cap/bias job and sounds great, offering around 6 watts of pure Fender pleasure! Not 100% original or "collectible" perhaps but a cool little amp nonetheless. Excellent - Condition.
