Up for sale, a 1977 Fender Vibro Champ in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This one-owner amp comes complete with all of its original hangtags and paperwork, with the original warranty card serial number matching the chassis serial to guarantee authenticity. A surprisingly loud amp with its original alnico 8" speaker, this Vibro Champ has just the right amount of glassy, sparkling clean tone before pushing into smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive at about 4 on the volume knob. Dynamic, responsive, and absolutely huge sounding when you put a microphone in front of it, it's hard to beat the Vibro Champ for pure simplicity and great tone. And of course, Fender's lush sounding tremolo circuit has a strong pulse and wide range of speeds, perfect for subtle shifts in volume or machine gun chop!

The circuit is nearly untouched and very original, with all components dating to late '76, including the Schumacher transformers and pots. There are three newer Sprauge capacitors in the preamp as well to guarantee the amp is operating within original factory spec. The tube chart is intact, with a small tear in the upper left corner, but otherwise in very good shape on unfaded paper. The speaker is the original 8" with a clean Fender stamp on the alnico magnet and a frame that is particularly clean. The amp retains its original three-prong power cable.

The original smooth black tolex, silver sparkle grillcloth and nickel hardware are remarkably clean and in great shape. The tolex shows barely any wear and the grillcloth still has plenty of sparkle to the thread. Just stunning! The faceplate and knobs also show almost no notable wear and it would be difficult to find a cleaner Vibro Champ currently on the market! The only wear of note is an extremely faint speckling of paint on the top of the amp, likely from being stored in a garage decades ago and being unfortunately close to some home improvement project.

The original tolex hangtag, "Warning" power cable tag, warranty card, owners manual, schematic, and paperwork envelope are all included.
