Well, if you thought we were done posting Fender tweed amps, you were wrong!

This one is in exemplary condition. You just never see em like this!

It came to us in 100% original, original, original condition. Everything. I'm guessing even the tubes are.

Transformers, pots and the Jensen P10R speaker all date to late 1960 and early 1961.

It is a flabbergasting thing to hear and to behold.

We found that the filter caps were on their way out, which is standard for an amp of this age, so we replaced them. The original caps were retained, but the outside shells were removed and installed over the new caps to give that authentic look.

While doing the filter cap change, we checked all the other caps for leakage and they're all good.

The power cable was changed to a grounded one when this work was performed. The original power cable was retained.

The amp runs strong and quiet. The speaker keeps up perfectly and sounds strong as well.

This is a killer example of this circuit!

Note that most of the pics were taken before we changed the filter caps and power cable, though new pics were added after the work.

The Fender Vibrolux was introduced in 1956, after Fender's transition to narrow panel circuits and cosmetics. The Vibrolux is known for that classic Fender tweed break up and deep tremolo at a comfortable studio or home volume level. The 5F11 Vibrolux circuit produces 10-12 watts from a pair of 6v6 power tubes and 12ax7 preamp tube. An additional 12ax7 drives the phase inverter and tremolo sections.

This is a killer studio and living room package. You're going to love it!
