Description

Here is a guitar that is sure to become your favorite 6 string "couch buddy," a GC30 12-Fret by David Flammang. David has been building super high-quality acoustics in his Greene, Iowa shop for nearly 30 years. He is known for his amazing woodworking skills and the fabulous tone of his guitars.

This guitar has an Adirondack Spruce top and braces, along with a back, neck and sides made from Honduran Mahogany. It has a 12-fret neck, 24.9" string scale, a bone 1-3/4" nut, a bone saddle with 2-1/4" string spacing and gold Waverly tuners.

This guitar as tone that will keep you from putting it down and it plays like a dream, with 12th fret string heights of 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side. Despite the simplicity of this 00-18 style guitar, it's build quality, playability and tone will amaze you. Please check out the brief sound sample provided. This guitar has a voice that is something very special, at least to my ear!

Built in 2002 or thereabouts, this guitar is in very nice shape except for a fall it took from a guitar stand, leaving a number of dings on the back of the guitar in the area of the neck joint (see photo). Besides these boo boos, this guitar is in great shape and the frets show little to no wear (see photo). These flaws do nothing to diminish the playability and voice of this great little guitar. It comes in it's original high-quality Cedar Creek case which remains in excellent condition.

If you are looking for a great playing and sounding guitar to be your newest everyday guitar and couch buddy, this instrument has my personal recommendation. And you will be hard pressed to find a higher quality, hand made 6 string at this price point. Make it yours and you will be very, very glad you did!
