Brand new hand-made replacement pickguard kit for a Gibson F-5 mandolin. Pickguard will fit all F-5s from 1923 or after. Will also fit most F-5 copies like Collings, Weber, Kentucky, Loar, Eastman, etc. Not correct type of pickguard for 1930s era F-7, F-10 or F-12. Gibson used a different pickguard design for F-5s in the 1950s till the 1970s, but this one is correct for the post-WWII F-12. This is made from solid tortoise shell material with 3-ply white/black/white binding around the edges. High gloss finish. Complete kit comes with pickguard, pre-attached fingerboard mounting pins and support bracket. Also comes with complete installation instructions. All you will need is a small hammer, nail set or countersink, awl, small wrench and super glue. Dimensions: 5 3/4" along the straight side. Overall: 6 1/4" x 3". Pickguard shown on a 1920s era F-5 is just for reference only. This pickguard kit is half the price of any other F-5 pickguard anywhere.
