1966 Framus IM (LP Special Style) Natural

Used c1966 Framus IM Model (LP Special style) solid body electric guitar serial number 26746-68E.

This guitar is in very good condition, neck, frets and truss rod are fine. Cosmetically showing playing time but not abuse.

There is often very little information available on Framus guitars. Our friend Kim from Just Guitars in Victoria Australia let us know that this is actually a model IM. We believe this to be an extremely rare model, quite possibly the first LP shaped Framus. Produced in 1966-68, even the Framus history books and catalogs don’t show it. A bass version is also known to exist.

Featuring a solid mahogany body, flat top with German carve edge, multi laminate maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, two P90-style Schaller pickups. The neck is slim and the frets are medium jumbo.

Our research shows that there are a few of these guitars circulating various internet sites, some variations include pickup placement and headstock design.
