Presenting the Free The Tone SL-5 Solderless Cable Kit. This one is the SL-5SL-NI-55K featuring 5 Nickel Straight Plugs,5 Nickel Right-Angle Plugs, and 3m of their CU-5050 Cable. FREE THE TONE devised its innovative ultra miniature solderless plugs (SL-8 Series) back in 2012. Since solderless cables can be easily handcrafted without soldering, they are widely used these days. Over time, solderless cables must evolve too, and in the time since release of the original version the team at Free The Tone have accumulated a lot of know-how, and decided it was the time to reconsider solderless cables in order to meet a variety of newly emerging needs. Aiming at purer signal transduction, easy and secure steps for assembly, and the joy of handcrafting cables with wider options for cable selection in sound making, FREE THE TONE has renewed its solderless cables with their SL-5 series. For more direct signal transduction, the plug’s tip and core wire connection pin are integrated together. The Plugs of the SL-5 are designed for their 5 mm CU-5050 cable. The cap of the S (straight) plug is now replaceable like that for the L (L-angle) plug. Caps are available in six colors in total as an additional purchase, making it easier to design a custom system by allowing the use of different plug cap colors on input and output sides or on different signal loops, etc. With 50 strands of ø0.08mm oxygen-free copper (OFC), the 5mm CU-5050 cable incorporates high sound quality, flexibility, and durability. Also its high-density braid shield makes this cable almost immune to external noise. CU-5050 features a fatter sound than 4mm CU-416. We recommend this cable when making a pedalboard for a bassist or a guitarist who plays 7- or 8-string guitars or drop-tuned guitars, and when a fatter sound is required and an effects unit such as a FUZZ or overdrive is connected.

We ship most any order placed before 3pm CDT Tuesday through Friday the same day. Orders placed Saturday-Monday will ship the following Tuesday. For new products we will only ship to delivery addresses within the United States. Most pedals are shipped via Priority Mail. Guitars and Amplifiers are shipped via UPS Ground. Other shipping methods are available. Please contact prior to placing your order for shipping cost quotations to your delivery address.
The Guitar Sanctuary does accept returned items as long as arrangements are made for such within 48 hours of purchase/receipt. Returned items MUST be in the original condition and packing (including owner’s manual, un-used warranty card, any other items that came with the item) in order to qualify for a refund. No refunds are available for “special” ordered guitars or amplifiers (items that were not in stock, but rather ordered per the customers request. The customer is responsible for all freight charges and credit card processing fees incurred in the course of the sale. We cannot refund freight charges. The Guitar Sanctuary will charge a 20% restocking fee for returned effects pedals and amplifiers and a 10% restocking fee for Guitars. The only exceptions are for products that are defective. Please only purchase an item after you are certain it is right for you! Layaway: You can lay-a-way any product for a maximum of three months. Lay-a-way requires a 25% non-refundable deposit. We will not be able to ship the item until it is paid for in full and as a lay-a-way purchase, does not qualify for the 48 hour approval policy. International Sales: We can ship most guitars and other products internationally. We prefer money orders, cashier’s checks, or bank wire transfers in U.S. dollars.
