Description

Oh what an elegant little guitar! Offered is this lovely Froggy Bottom C Limited Rosewood built in 2012.

The C is Froggy's Concert or 00-sized guitar. It has a 12-fret neck and a short (24.75") string scale. It is just 14.25" wide at the lower bout, 4.25" deep and has a body length of 19.375". This instrument has an Adirondack Spruce top and the back and sides made from straight-grained Indian Rosewood. It has a 1.75" bone nut, a bone drop-in saddle, 2-3/16" string spacing. As a top-grade 'Limited' instrument, it has all of Froggy's 'Deluxe' cosmetic appointments (ebony fret board and bridge, multi-color abalone rosette and backstrip) plus the addition of fancy abalone top purfling, special #7 fretboard inlays and gold Waverly tuners. The fast, low profile Mahogany neck has a 1st fret depth of .840". I gave this guitar a custom set of bone bridge pins that I had been saving for a worthy instrument! This guitar is the Froggy-equivalent of a Martin 00-42!

Despite it's modest proportions, this little beauty has a lot of sonic punch and a very lush Froggy tone. Listen to the provided sound sample and I think you will agree, this guitar has a nicely balanced voice with lots of the chime and overtones that Froggy Bottom guitars are known for. The playability and setup are superb, with 12th fret string heights of 5/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high side and lots of saddle remaining.

This little beauty is in fantastic condition. It does not appear to have ever seen a flat pick as the pickguard and top are close to flawless. Only the lightest of clear coat scuffs on the back of the guitar from shirt buttons and the like keep this guitar from being in mint condition and these are very hard to find. The frets show little to no wear. It comes in it's similarly nice TKL/AVS case.

A new example of this guitar so equipped goes for $9K. Get this lovely little beauty for thousands less. One marvelous little Froggy indeed!
