This deep body 12 fret 00 from Froggy Bottom has mahogany back and sides with an exceptionally tight grained red spruce top. The fret board is ebony and the bridge rosewood, the body is bound in maple. In addition to the deep body, this guitar departs from traditional 12 fret specs in that it has a 1 23/32" nut and pin spacing of 2 1/8", making it more accessible to most players than the wider neck found on traditional 12 fret guitars. This guitar is light as a feather given its light build (weighs just 3.6 lbs!), and you can feel the entire thing move when you play it...it is very lively. The tone is very crisp and woody, in one word, vintage. Sounds like an old guitar...think pre-war 12 fret 00-18. The action at the 12th fret measures 6/64" at the low E and 5/64" at the high E with just under 1/8" of saddle showing above the slot. The neck has a rather full "C" profile, which makes the 1 23/32" nut (which is unconventional on a 12 fretter) more comfortable than most necks of this width. This one has a few minor nicks and dings in the finish on the top back and sides and a small amount of fret wear. None of the finish dings go into the wood and most are so superficial that a buffing might make all but one go away completely. The fret wear is minor enough that nothing needs to be done with it at this time. Original case included. Check out the sound file to hear this great guitar. $4800
