Analogue Vintage Brownface Tremolo
The Plush “Crème de la Trem” is a unique tremolo pedal, which is designed to emulate the sound of the
highly desirable Brown face Fender Tremolo’s of the 50’s and 60’s. These tremolos were truly unique, in
that they produced not only a level variation, but also altered pitch. This is often compared to modern
day chorus pedals, or rotary speakers. The “Crem de la Trem” is a unique product, designed by Andy
Fuchs. It uses a unique circuit topology which uses a combination of IC’s, combined with FET’s to
emulate the vintage Tremolo tones of the 60’s Brown face Fender amps. It is designed for lowest noise
and the warmest most neutral and tube like tones possible.
The unit is activated when a standard ¼” guitar cable is plugged into the input jack. If using this unit on
battery power, the guitar cable should be unplugged when it’s not in use, to extend battery life.
The Plush “Crem de la Trem” is an easy to Tremolo unit. The rate knob sets the speed of the tremolo,
while the intensity knob adjusts how strong the effect is. From a subtle amount of modulation, to an
extreme warble, these controls will allow you to dial the exact vintage tones you seek.

The input impedance is 1-Meg, which is universally considered an excellent match for most guitars. The
output impedance is approximately 1-K, which is buffered, to drive long cables as well as subsequent
The Plush “Crème de la Trem” provides a true hard wire bypass, which means when not in use (LED not
lit) the input is connected directly to the output, with no loading of the signal, and no active devices in
the signal path.
The DC jack on the side is a standard 2.1 mm tip negative adaptor input. A Plush DC adaptor may be
purchased from your local dealer or any standard Roland, Goldlyke, or similar style DC adaptor may be
used. The output of the adaptor must be 9-Volts DC. Using this pedal with the incorrect adaptor may
potentially damage the pedal, which will not be covered under warranty.
