The Gallien-Krueger 1001 RB II is a 700 watt solid state preamp with bi-amp flexibility. This unique horn bi-amp system sends the high frequencies, controlled from the front panel, to the horn through a separate 50W amplifier, which has failure-reducing advantages like not overpowering the horn by the larger amp, keeping the horn clean. Double sided boards ensure stable performance under the most rigorous tour conditions. Harmonic complexity is controlled with a special boast control that adds tube like harmonics and the signature GK growl. A 4 band active EQ with variable Q provides extensive tone shaping capabilities while retaining a musical response even at extreme settings.
